You want to be a forward-thinking sustainability advisor. You want to work strategically and help shape change—with real impact. You will be responsible for consulting projects on sustainability strategies and management, specifically on topics such as sustainable supply chain management, circular economy, certifications, and reporting. Beyond regulation, you’re also interested in bringing concepts essential for transformation—like sufficiency and post-growth, or regenerative business models—into companies.
You’re skilled at leading workshops with energy and a focus on outcomes. Participants don’t just get creative with you—they also feel confident making decisions. Conducting materiality assessments, impact assessments, and sustainability reports isn’t new to you, and you can quickly get up to speed on new topics.
You’re keen to think beyond corporate sustainability and business-as-usual, and instead of joining a large consultancy with little free time, you’d like to work in a small company with plenty of room to co-create. You value teamwork, short decision paths thanks to flat hierarchies, and the chance to have direct impact through your work.
Your responsibilities
- Develop sustainability strategies and integrate them into our clients’ existing processes
- Identify gaps between (regulatory) target requirements and the client’s current state using fit-gap analyses
- Conceptualize and prepare sustainability reports (e.g., in line with CSRD, German Sustainability Code/DNK)
- Support and advise clients’ sustainability management in meeting various (sustainability) reporting obligations (internal and external, e.g., CSRD, CS3D/LkSG, GRI) and in developing solutions to make non-financial processes more efficient
- Advisory close to audit topics, e.g., preparation of materiality analyses
- Contribute to the development of new consulting products
- Independently research and structure content across different subject areas
- Design and deliver talks and workshops
- Contribute to our own Impact Report, B Corp re-certification, and the introduction of an internal impact measurement tool
Your profile
- Degree in economics or natural sciences, preferably with a focus on sustainability or environmental sciences
- Professional experience in a corporate sustainability department or in consulting (min. 3 years)
- Experience with current reporting standards and obligations (e.g., EU Taxonomy, CSRD, CS3D/LkSG, Green Claims Directive)
- Analytical, solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with complex subject areas
- Skill in effective data analysis and interpretation
- Excellent written and spoken communication
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Structured and reliable working style
- Confident use of common IT applications
- Native-level German and business-fluent English, both written and spoken
Our offer
- Small team with a high degree of responsibility and the opportunity to help shape our organization’s future
- Exciting portfolio of clients who are genuinely interested in change
- Gross annual salary between €38,400 and €45,000 (depending on experience and competencies)
- Easily accessible office in Berlin-Neukölln
