What drives NEW STANDARD.S forward: It’s the people who show up with ideas, values, and curiosity every day. That’s why we’d like to introduce you to the faces and stories behind our studio.
– What is your role at NEW STANDARD.S and what motivated you to start working here?
At NEW STANDARD.S, I work as the People & Culture Manager, focusing on fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous development. My goal is for people here not just to work, but to grow – professionally, personally, and as a team. I chose NEW.S because I was looking for a workplace that offers both family-friendly conditions and meaningful work. And I found both here. What I really appreciate is that I get the chance to keep evolving in my role and try out new processes. And in doing so, I always meet openness and support – from the team and the leadership alike.
– What do you think urgently needs to change?
From my point of view, we should keep working on creating even more inclusive working conditions. Unfortunately, sustainability is still shaped by elitist structures in many ways, so it’s important to me that we think about it in a more socially inclusive way and truly reach people on the ground. That’s why we consciously invest time and resources in community work and projects like ‘The Missing Puzzle Piece’, where we offered internships to students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds.
For me, it’s essential to meet people where they are, to learn from them, and grow together – instead of assuming you already have all the answers. Inclusive work environments also mean taking mental health seriously in the workplace. We regularly work with external coaches and keep developing our formats. At the same time, we know we’re far from done. What matters most: we’re open to taking a closer look, to listening, and to evolving step by step.
– What occupies and inspires you outside of the studio?
For the past two years, I’ve also been working as a yoga teacher – mainly in Hatha, Yin, and pre- and postnatal yoga – and I regularly continue my training in areas like meditation, trauma-sensitive yoga, and non-violent communication. At the heart of it, I’m always exploring the question of how we can shape our lives together in a more conscious, peaceful, and empathetic way.
But my biggest source of inspiration is my little daughter. She teaches me something new every day: to find joy in things like the rain, to see the world from different angles, to playfully step into new roles – or to throw an impromptu carnival party at home in the middle of summer. She’s a constant reminder to stay curious, open, and full of life.
