IMMPACT

How can we make impact measurable—and meaningful—across Germany’s growing social entrepreneurship and impact investing scene? Together with Bertelsmann Stiftung, PHINEO, SEND, and the Bundesinitiative Impact Investing, we built IMMPACT, a shared brand and platform that makes impact management accessible and comparable. From naming and brand identity to content strategy, design, and the digital platform, we created the foundation for a common language of impact—launched in early 2024 and now connecting hundreds of founders, investors, and ecosystem actors.

The impact ecosystem in Germany was fragmented: founders, investors, and policymakers all talked about “impact,” but lacked a common framework to define, assess, or compare it. This led to confusion, inefficiency, and a lack of credibility in the growing field of social entrepreneurship and impact investing. To scale the movement, the partners needed a shared language, clear standards, and a brand that could unite actors across sectors—bridging policy, capital, and practice.

We developed the name IMMPACT—a wordmark that merges impact and management into one strong, memorable identity. The visual system translates complexity into clarity: bold typography, modular grids, and a color palette inspired by credibility and collaboration. The tone of voice is clear, inclusive, and rooted in expertise without jargon. Alongside the brand, we created the IMMPACT Guide—a website that hosts the Reifegradmodell (maturity model), knowledge resources, and case examples. The result is an accessible platform that helps startups, investors, and advisors navigate and align on impact goals.

IMMPACT launched in early 2024 as the first cross-sector standard for impact management in Germany. The platform now reaches hundreds of ecosystem players, providing orientation and shared understanding across the fields of social entrepreneurship, policy, and finance. By turning abstract concepts into practical tools, IMMPACT is building the foundation for more efficient, transparent, and credible use of capital—for both financial and social returns.

“With IMMPACT, we now have a shared framework that connects founders, investors, and policymakers. NEW STANDARD.S helped us turn a technical topic into a clear, credible, and inspiring brand that the entire ecosystem can rally behind.”

“Our design goal was to make something that feels solid and systemic—but never bureaucratic. IMMPACT needed to look credible to policymakers and investors, yet remain open and human enough to invite startups and changemakers in.”
