What drives NEW STANDARD.S forward? Its the people who show up with ideas, values, and curiosity every day. Thats’s why we’d like to introduce you to the faces and stories behind our studio.
What is your role at NEW STANDARD.S and what motivated you to start working here?
I’m a designer for branding and digital at NEW STANDARD.S. What led me to NEW STANDARD.S was, above all, the search for purpose and impact in my own work. Good design can enrich projects, give them magic and usability, and speak to people in a special way. For me, design loses its value when it becomes an end in itself and the only purpose is to maximise profit. But I believe that through what we do every day, we can have a positive influence — and that we should use that influence.
What do you think urgently needs to change?
More solidarity, less selfishness, and overall a shift away from profit at any cost. We’re facing social and ecological crises that are the consequence of today’s systemic challenges. I’d like to see a culture that puts long-term thinking, responsibility, and collective action more at the centre.
What occupies and inspires you outside of the studio?
Everything that makes up my daily life inspires me: the people around me, the small joys, nature, animals, good food, music, video games — really, everything that surrounds me. Because in the end, you can draw inspiration and creativity from almost anything.
Lately I’ve also been thinking more and more about how, in a world that’s becoming increasingly digital and where power is ever more centralised, we can push back — and how we as users can regain control over our own data and technology through open source and local solutions.
