From Day 1, we knew we wanted to become part of the B Corp movement – a community of business leaders who believe that business can solve social and environmental problems. During the certification process, businesses must disclose their operational processes with all relevant documentation regarding governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. A business needs a minimum of 80 points to qualify.
While “regular” businesses are set up to benefit their shareholders, B Corps are either impact businesses or companies that mostly aim to benefit their (local) communities and workers.
As a B Corp, we’re most proud that:
– We dedicate the majority of our resources to reaching SDG 12 – sustainable consumption and production
– The majority of our revenue comes from projects that positively impact our local community in Berlin
– We disclose our business operations transparently in annual impact and sustainability reports
– More than 75% of our spending goes toward suppliers based in Berlin (and more than 87% of our spending goes toward suppliers based in Germany)
– In 2023, we spent more than 28% with female-owned businesses
– We pay our employees at least 30% above minimum wage per hour
