Founding a company with a systemic approach means that we’ve started developing a hub to connect, solve, and develop ideas with different people who share our vision to see the challenges of our times as an opportunity to create a more just, sustainable world.Â
Today, we’d like to say thank you to our partners, clients, and collaborators and share more of what we’ve been up to since launching our studio.
It's been excited to get started with our first clients from the hospitality and industrial production sectors. We've been working on co-creating their sustainability strategies, CSR reporting, and the necessary communication campaigns.
Â
Living, working, and loving Neukölln, we couldn’t hold back from answering the public call for a communication agency for Bezirksamt Neukölln’s sustainability project Schön Wie Wir. It’s a project dedicated to making Neukölln a cleaner, more beautiful and sustainable district. We’re responsible for the website, and Facebook, and Instagram strategies. If you live in Neukölln or want to know more about the different projects happening in the district, don’t hesitate to follow us. And we’re already working on more...
Â
One of the formats we developed right at the start is a digital team quiz to entertain and educate teams during their breakout sessions, jours fixes, and team events. Companies such as Flixbus, Patreon, 7Mind, and many more have booked us for team quizzes, and we’ve been loving all the laughs and oh-wow moments.Â
Speaking of oh-wow moments, our co-founder Monika Kanokova has launched her podcast Zukunftswünsche together with the Viennese podcast label Oh Wow.Â
Â
There’s one thing we didn’t manage to find for our new office because no configuration on the market – new or secondhand – actually fulfilled our needs, which is why we teamed up with Tobias Jaenecke to create a prototype. More on that soon.Â
Â
When we discussed who has the most power when it comes to making sustainability the standard in an office environment, we realized it’s office managers because they decide where they order supplies such as toilet paper, stationery, cleaning products, etc. That’s why we created an annual planner for office managers to explain everyday sustainability in an easy and practical way. The planner’s now in use in more than 1,000 companies across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
We noticed that people who aren’t office managers ordered their planner from us, so we decided to create a journal/workbook to set new standards in everyday life. We expect our new journal to launch later this year.Â
Â
We’re grateful for the media attention we’ve received since launching. We’ve given interviews to the Grafik Magazin, Adobe Live, Tech & Nature, Karriere.at, and the Credit Reform magazine. Also, we inaugurated "Hoffmann's Küche", a new podcast by Berlin-based chef Sophia Hoffmann – and we're cooking another top secret project with her.Â
Â
A few months ago, we responded to an eBay announcement that had no picture, no proper description. We liked the location and figured we could check it out. It was a struggling kiosk, with no proper electricity or a functioning toilet. Yet, once we spoke with the landlord, we liked him so much that we decided to work together on fixing up the space and move in just 4 months after our initial viewing. We used that time to source most of our furniture secondhand and curate the sort of space where we feel proud to welcome our clients, collaborators, and partners.
We’re excited to see where the next few months will lead us. If you’d like to work with us on a project regarding your corporate and/or HR sustainability, we’d love to talk! Just email start@newstandard.studio.Â
Â
Yours,
Monika Kanokova + Max MauracherÂ
