The problem
The fashion industry is one of the biggest polluters in the world. So far, there are only a few convincing solutions that could ensure resource conservation and the reduction of emissions. But can the apparel industry be sustainable at all? Technological innovations, especially in the area of materials, and changes in the supply chain could be the first sensible measures. But public debate has been driven primarily by brands and companies, which largely use sustainability for marketing and PR purposes.
The Techstyler team has made it their mission to shed light on these issues. They dedicate their work to explaining which innovations make a difference, they compare materials, and they even uncover common greenwashing practices. The analyses and insights help decision-makers in the fashion and textile industry – and investors – in their search for real solutions with impact.
Our solution
To position Techstyler as a trustworthy medium, we emphasized their analytical approach. On their digital platform, we focused on making information clear and easily digestible. A visually consistent language was particularly relevant. We worked with techniques like color coding to ensure easy orientation for subscribers, which is then applied across all other channels, including social media, the website, and their newsletter.
Our impact
In less than four weeks after the launch, the platform has been viewed more than 100,000 times. In addition to the platform’s content and the knowledge transfer, Techstyler has entered into several collaborations with major fashion brands to analyze and transparently communicate their sustainability activities. As a member of their advisory council, we also advise the Techstyler team on critical topics and strategic decisions.
