There’s a significant gap between the government’s requirements, guidelines, ambitions, and wishes and the actual handling of waste materials. In Germany alone, in 2019, one person produced 457 kg of landfill. That adds up to around 38 million tons of landfill in Germany — a number that will probably only increase going forward.
The oldest strategy for dealing with waste is landfilling. Due to the increasing amount as well as the changing composition of our waste, waste disposal has become a systematic and global problem.
Today’s waste can be tomorrow’s resource for entrepreneurs! Based on our analysis, we developed a concept for the resource room. Tobias Jänecke ein Konzept für den Wertstoffraum.
Under the new approach, classic waste disposal is supplemented with additional value-added stages, such as sorting, processing, storage, and recycling — the so-called Waste Gap Ecosystem, which is strongly oriented to the classic recycling process in its value-added structure and technological approach. However, recycling takes place within the office building ecosystem. It promotes regional value creation.
